Jousting In The Realm Of Fairport, Second Life Jousting
Jousting in Second Life is one of the many activities a Second Life resident can learn, join and enjoy in-world. It's also very easy to learn and it's also very easy to get in to. Just get a horse, a Jousting Lance, a place to practice and you can start learning.
One place in Second Life where you can learn how to Joust is the Realm Of Fairport. I was there recently to watch a Jousting Tournament and it was my second time there. My interaction with the people or avatars there was very minimal because I was only there to watch the Jousting Tournament.
For this particular tournament, five brave knights participated. Each of them did a wonderful job at poking their lance at each other. He he he!
At the end of the matches, one participant was victorious. He defeated the other four and became the day's tournament champion. His prize was 313 L$. It's not too big of a prize but the important thing was the experience gained from the tournament.
