The title of this post was from a message sent to me by a Second Life resident named JamesMorianna. On April 27, 2012, he purchased one of my items in the Marketplace. The item he purchased was the *KK* 2011 Donation Goal Meter w/USD Display (Free) (Boxed). As you can see, the item he purchased is FREE but there is a note in the description that says, "This is a Free Version. The creator will receive 1L$ or 10% from each donations made."

Unfortunately, he didn't bother to read the item description. Many Second Life Shoppers are like that, they look at the picture and buy without even reading the item description. Now, if he had bothered to read the item description then he would have known that the FREE version of the item would take a 1L$ to 10% commission from him but, obviously, that didn't happen. He didn't read the item description and, the result was, him complaining about it.
The item he purchased also has a PAID version and this version doesn't take any commission because it's PAID not FREE. The price of the PAID version of the item is only 198L$. It's very, very cheap but, JamesMorianna was being cheap himself, instead of purchasing the PAID version that takes no commission, he purchased the FREE version without even reading the item description first.

Seriously people, read the freaking item description first before purchasing anything from the Marketplace.
JamesMorianna's first messages to me were:
[9:14] JamesMorianna: HEY now...who the hell said you could take L$ from the donations thing?!
[9:14] JamesMorianna: I want the money I spent buying that...back
And I replied with:
Hi, From my transaction history. It seems you bought the FREE version. If you didn't read the description in the marketplace, it says there that, ' This is a Free Version. The creator will receive 1L$ or 10% from each donations made." The PAID version does not take commissions. Best regards, KK
The next message I got from him was:

Reported for theft? Theft of what? He didn't pay anything for the item because it's FREE. If he is talking about the commission taken from him then he should have read the item description first before purchasing the item. There is a reason why Linden Lab placed an area for Item Description in the Marketplace Item Listings.
So, if you are like JamesMorianna who, for some weird reason, doesn't like to read Item Descriptions in the Marketplace then please start reading them now. It will better inform you about the items you plan on purchasing and it will avoid any future frustrations or disappointments or even bad feelings with the creator of the item.
